Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! I stayed there two or three times on two or three different trips and once, it was booked and I was not able to stay there (I was passing through on the Camino de Santiago.) Wonderful service, very cozy, fridge and kitchen if you'd like to store some food, and very central. LOVE this place! Can't say enough good things about it.

A very charming pension in the old town near all the great pinxo places. You are also a 10min walk from either la Conxa or Zurriolla Beach. The owners are very friendly and will provide you with all the information you need. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that it can get a bit noisy in the morning since you can hear everything going on outside the rooms and that some rooms have their private bathrooms in the hallway.P. S there is no aircon if the heat isn't your thing.

Quiet. Private. And in one of the oldest buildings in the area. In a word: charming. I stayed in a beautiful, cozy bedroom for one night and loved the experience. The owners are so sweet. In summary, I found my stay to be peaceful. I recommend this place for laidback couples, friends, and solo travelers who might thrive in the quite atmosphere. The only downside is the number of stairs you have to traverse upon arriving, particularly if you're lugging a luggage as big as mine. I was able to receive help in this-- and honestly, the stairs are easily overcome by the experience itself. I would personally not recommend Pension Amaiur for those who use wheelchairs as there's no alternative to the stairs.

Lovely quaint Pension, very friendly helpful staff, very informative on local places, events etc. Great location, no vehicular access, no elevator, staff helpful with lifting bags up two flights of stairs.. light breakfast supplies, clean and tidy bedrooms & bathrooms.

Absolutely loved our stay here wow! Such friendly staff, in the best location in the Old Town. Tea, coffee, biscuits and kitchen facilities. Should be rated well above 3 stars for this Pension. Beautiful modern, spacious room with good storage. We had a terrace with views over the street below... perfect for a morning coffee or evening drink. Very impressed. Keep up the fantastic work and service guys 🙂

The location was great just in the center, bars with pinchos just in front, the beach really closed. The room and the bathroom were clean and confy, and our host was very kind and helpful!! It has a small kitchen with coffe, tea, biscuits etc and also a fridge. Amazing don’t think twice 😉

We stay here for 2 nights. It was in the heart of everything in San Sebastián. Fantastic tapas place right down the street. Roberto, the concierge was the best. We loved being there with a balcony looking out over one of the main thoroughfares in Old Town, complete with Basilica right next door.

Wonderful option to stay at the heart of Donostia. The location can’t be better and despite how noisy the street can be, the balcony door where perfectly sound proof enabling a nice rest. Very reasonable prices for the city.

It is by far the worst place I have ever stayed. Run down, old but no charm. Up five floors of narrow dark stair case although the receptionist did help me with my bag.I can’t find any Fire Escape and nervous as a result as I am three floors above street level.I just can’t imagine why it has good reviews when there is literally nothing to recommend it.

Our FAVORITE place to stay in San Sebastian. We have been staying here for years whenever in the town. Roberto and Aihnoa have been treating us like family. We will ALWAYS stay here when in San Sebastian!

Good for the price/quality. But wi-fi is horrible. Please, make it better and faster, then I would love to come back 😉 nowadays it is very important to have connection, especially when 4G doesn’t work neither.
