Queremos que se sienta como en casa…

Our guesthouse…

Amaiur has an elegant vintage design.

It is located in Donostia – San Sebastian, on the exclusive 31 de Agosto street, 5 minutes (400 meters) from the port of San Sebastian and 10 minutes (850 meters) from one of the best beaches in the world, La Concha.

It works as a guesthouse since 1988; in 2013, it was completely renovated and redecorated, as if it was our own home, to make it as welcoming as possible for our guests. Upon accessing this historic building, one of the few that survived the burning of the city in 1813, one senses a sense of purity and tranquility. Full of energy and style, the cozy rooms provide a vintage yet elegant atmosphere, as well as a wide view of the legendary 31 de Agosto street.
Aimed at all types of clients, Amaiur is surrounded by the best trendy pintxo bars in the city.

In addition, you can enjoy a good read in our dining room or exchange experiences with other guests.

If all things were equal, there would be no magic in this world …

Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!!! I stayed there two or three times on two or three different trips and once, it was booked and I was not able to stay there (I was passing through on the Camino de Santiago.) Wonderful service, very cozy, fridge and kitchen if you'd like to store some food, and very central. LOVE this place! Can't say enough good things about it.

A very charming pension in the old town near all the great pinxo places. You are also a 10min walk from either la Conxa or Zurriolla Beach. The owners are very friendly and will provide you with all the information you need. The only reason I wouldn't give it 5 stars is that it can get a bit noisy in the morning since you can hear everything going on outside the rooms and that some rooms have their private bathrooms in the hallway.P. S there is no aircon if the heat isn't your thing.

Quiet. Private. And in one of the oldest buildings in the area. In a word: charming. I stayed in a beautiful, cozy bedroom for one night and loved the experience. The owners are so sweet. In summary, I found my stay to be peaceful. I recommend this place for laidback couples, friends, and solo travelers who might thrive in the quite atmosphere. The only downside is the number of stairs you have to traverse upon arriving, particularly if you're lugging a luggage as big as mine. I was able to receive help in this-- and honestly, the stairs are easily overcome by the experience itself. I would personally not recommend Pension Amaiur for those who use wheelchairs as there's no alternative to the stairs.

Lovely quaint Pension, very friendly helpful staff, very informative on local places, events etc. Great location, no vehicular access, no elevator, staff helpful with lifting bags up two flights of stairs.. light breakfast supplies, clean and tidy bedrooms & bathrooms.
